THIS IS a very important post to me. cos today i learnt a 4 hour lesson which will very well come very useful in the near future.
today i went to paya lebar MRT station, and waited for liu hao. then we walked out towards the tanjong katong mall. we went to the directory to find the shop listed. #03-01 . the shop's name was synwin or something like that. inside there, liu hao bought 2 cello rosin, 2 bass rosin and 2 tuners. the tuners costed about $50. the rosins about $12.50 (cello) . the bass rosin not sure the price.
(from here on actually can take bus no. 76 or 135 or 43 . he scared take wrong bus.)
then we continued walking in the direction along tanjong katong road. we continued walking straight all the way. we passed by an old overhead bridge which looks quite unique. then from there we walked about the distance of 3 bus stops. (past some petrol stations and a coffee house) and finally saw the grammercy shop, which according to liu hao, was the only shop in green in the area. so we went in and liu hao bought D, G, C jargar strings cos the other type ran out of stock. anyway, grammercy has cheaper strings (same quality) than synwin. he also bought the $6.80 mute x 5 there. anyway, the strings costed about $21 to $26 each.
from there we walked back. imagine the distance of 8 bus stops we walked lah..
this post is for my own reference / record as well.
and liu hao passed me a very important piece of paper. something i shld never overlook.. thx liu hao !!
