i have 4 things to blog about.
let me consolidate the points.
waking up today was the tough bit. but nevermind. i missed the last batch of buses that would make me not late. so if i wasn't performing, i would have been late. but bleh. then there was some weird flag-raising going on at college side. really weird. all the council / PA AVA ppl just faced one direction --> to the flagpole and blah blah. so um basically i probably stoned there for like 8 minutes. it was quite sad to waste my time like that.
1. the cny performance
reached the MPH when they almost prac finish. then yah, they prac finish. nth left for me to warm up. so, the counter attack to that lethargic feeling -> mentos ! plus i didn't bring water. so it was 'awesome' painful. and i never knew carrying 4 "pu" or score book would be that tough. basically when the books stack up, the "surface runoff" or rather, friction, is near zero. i had trouble with that. plus, in the same left hand i carried another "pu jia" or scores stand. and in my right arm i was hugging my cello and bow.
our item began earlier than 0825hrs as suggested by the programme booklet. the orchestra went smoothly through "xi3 yang2 yang2" and then crumbled at the usual percussion / cork part in "shu1 qing2 bian4 zou4 qu3" and really did a messy one there. lol. i wonder how the dizi / some gaohu ppl survived the counting madness. awesome man! we 'rocked' yeah. then returned to MPH to prac abit more.
2. the interact club performance
a very few bunch of ppl performed. this was for a bunch of elderly ppl brought in by the interact club (as usual again) to the fishtank! lol. the first time i brought my cello there. luckily that place didn't smell of food. if not my cello would stink ):
i stumbled quite a while and then got back on track. cos' there was this score which i had to transpose everything down by a fifth. which was equivalent to 'one string' on the cello. other than that, nothing else was serious. yunheng commented that "its really inconsiderate of us towards the non-chinese elderly. cos' they also dont understand all these." ... and its quite true. but the chinese elderly certainly enjoyed themselves. then there was this duration when - errm... it was super funny... an auntie danced with a guy from the interact club! LoLoL... quite fun. this event made me quite satisfied.

after the stuff, i returned to MPH (AGAIN!) to camp my cello, and then went to my class bench for class photo. zzz. then back to MPH again to do geog tutorial...

3. "we, are from mexico!" - libertango recording
when i was doing work, benny did a recording of gaotian and dominic doing the GMC. pretty freaking funny. then shiang joined in and then they suggested to play libertango. i jumped away from my geog work and sort of joined them.
benny wanted to record it. then gaotian thought of a super lame idea!!!
the video intro goes smth like this. cant rmb. his 'mexican accent' damm funny.
"hola! we are the ___ orchestra from mexico! i am ___, this is dominico, shiango, and ____!" (well my 'mexican name' is seriously, i cant rmb).
edit: oops, the 2nd video goes like this:
"hello everybody, i'm fernando (gaotian), we are from Mexico, and we are known as Amorosa. now, say hello to our amigos!"
(AND THEN , all of us did this super lame thing)
"hola!" *waves to the cameraman* ( LOL!! xD )
"and we will be bringing you libertango! comeon guys, lets rock in 1, 2, and 1 2 3 go!"
(libertango is played. to a very amusing extent.)
luckily we didn't go nuts and cheer at the end of playing it. HAHA. if not the funny effect will be quite overloaded.

4. ISYF
went out for lunch with shiang randy jiaying yiling and laiweng (?! LOL the only junior xD) at the coffeeshop at sixth avenue... haha (: then someone (i forgot who) asked laiweng "can you act not-cute?" hahaha!! it was damm funny.
returned to MPH. then due to the humid / hot weather, the ppl decided to go shower then change. and then awhile later, me sorta helped shiang here and there. and they boarded the bus (shared with string orch or smth) to go to shangri-la. must be awesome performance yeah (:

kaitai just sent me a photo he took of me during the co performance this morning. and he tagged with the ppl at shangri-la, and "took photos from morning to night". cool man! i'll be getting more photos from him.
