The update for GOSICK 07 was covered in the previous post, so I shall not repeat it here. Anyway, here's the rest of the summaries. I will learn to blend the story itself with my own thoughts and comments, so give me some time to learn as well alright? From now onwards I will only write more when the show itself has more interesting things to take note of.
Madoka 07
As predicted earlier, Homura did indeed knew about the dark secret of the Soul Gem, as she reveals to Madoka. Meanwhile, Sayaka thrashes it out with Kyuubey, and is emotionally not stable to attend class. Kyoko asks Sayaka out for a walk and tells Sayaka how she made her wish; that her wish was to have followers listen to her father (who was a "new age" pastor of sorts)... and that eventually her mahou shoujo background became known, and the father became insane and killed off the whole family (what the hell, the reason sucks, but true enough to SHAFT's flavour of dicing with twisted stories)...
I guess Kyoko needs more *Morning Rescue* than Madoka now. No, wait. Sayaka needs it even more. Hitomi tells Sayaka that she's going to give Sayaka one day, and then tomorrow she will confess her feelings to Kyousuke... now Sayaka has to 'face her true feelings'. Sayaka then goes on a witch-hunt; she meets Madoka on the way and cries to her. This witch battle is shrouded in shadowy darkness and sadness... damn good job to SHAFT. Add the heart-wrenching music in and you get an idea of how complex Madoka as a series is heading towards.
Next episode 08: I'm such a fool. (Sayaka, yes, people with a good heart hardly reap rewards..)
Yumekui Merry 07
It's the beach/bikini episode. Not much of fanservice here as compared to other titles, though. Merry ponders about herself actually killing the dream demons instead of sending them back to the dreamworld. As Yumeji tries to use his skill to look for black aura, Merry stops him. Not like she needed to send anyone back for now. Then the duo witness a superhero show filming nearby, and a kid asks for a signature from the superhero guy.
When Merry and Yumeji left the filming area, the kid gets sucked into the dream world, where him and his dream demon companion were summoned by another stronger dream demon (supposedly the Tree dream demon that was mentioned in the previous episode summary)... the kid witnesses his companion get killed by the latter, and then returns to reality with an altered behaviour (dream-less blank state).
Merry ponders over the change in plans, and Yumeji holds her back from leaving... it appears there's nothing too spectacular for this episode, as compared to what's showing on Index II. Next episode 08: Dream Corridor. Seems like Pharos Elcres appears next.
Index II 19
The fan-service kind of episodes have drifted; Sasha (the mage who wanted angel's power and battled Touma on his beach vacation with Index back in season 1) gets disturbed by some nun who brought back some hilarious Magical-powered Kanamin cosplay costume from Academy City.
Yes, this episode is really plot-dense, so I'll summarise this. Accelerator and Last Order were walking on the streets, Last Order fell, so Accelerator bought a plaster (?) for her. On the way back, Accelerator gets attacked by Kihara (ex-researcher guy working for Aleister) and only manages to blow Last Order away to a safe place (the scene is frightening and funny actually)... Index then happened to be finding Accelerator (to return his tissue) and saw him in a badly beaten up manner.
Touma runs to find Index (who ran off on her own once again) and discovers that the Anti-Skill people around the city faint / collapse suddenly. It is shown that "Vento of the Front", a God's Right Seat mage, has infiltrated Academy City, and is on her way to dealing with Aleister (what kind of fight can take place like this?)... Aleister is later shown to then communicate with Kihara and ordering him to find and bring Last Order to a certain place to use the key to the five elements institution (Kazakiri). Confusing? Read the light novels first then. The plot gets thoroughly dense from here onwards.
One thing about Aleister: He was once a mage, but he sort of abandoned magic and went to create the science side, Academy City itself. The feud between the two sides is going to get really interesting, considering there is only 5 more episodes to go after this one. Next episode 20: Hound Dog.
Oniichan no Koto 07
A kiss x sis cameo in Akiba! But seriously, is ZEXCS related to studio Feel? Anyways, nothing too spectacular about this episode, except to say that the Akiba trip revealed each person's favourite fetish and made the A.G.E Explorers a better team of sorts. Seems like the penguins and cats appeared less often also. But otherwise, Nao and Iroha appear to behave quite similarly to the previous few episodes, so I'm worried for the production values whether they are sidetracking the character development just to showcase more random events.
Kore wa Zombie 07
"Spiral galaxies spin like this, kind of like a top. You'll need a string to spin it, and that's where string theory comes from." - Haruna
"The road to math is long, dangerous, and so very far." - Ayumu
Ayumu tries to study hard for his final exam to avoid going to summer school, and goes through some genius lesson with Haruna. Later on when he takes the exam, Haruna appears on the window and tells him that she's going off to fight a Megalo.
Burnt under the sun, Ayumu transforms into a Masou-Shoujo and sheds his fear of the sun, and almost defeats the horse AA-ranked Megalo when a school of jellyfish monsters came and tentacle-molested Haruna and Ayumu. Then Maelstrom (Yuki Yoshida) appears and pours tonkotsu ramen soup and instantly defeats all the Megalos. Ayumu keeps talking to "him" as he thought the person who saved them was a guy, when... Haruna pushes Ayumu out of irritation and then Ayumu accidentally kisses Yoshida (then realises the person is actually a girl!)... Oh and she knows Seraphim, just that she's from another vampire ninja faction.
Yoshida brings Ayumu and co. to a secret base where a machine makes the ramen, and treats Ayumu and Sera a bowl of ramen. She tries to explain, though the explanation behind the ramen magic is too advanced for even her to understand, and has a machine which sprays said soup over the city whenever a horde of Megalos attack.
After they leave the base, Seraphim reveals that, because of the kiss ealier, Ayumu and Maelstrom are allegedly married. So, he just got married that easily?! Afterwards, Ayumu and the girls celebrate some funny mixture of Tanabata-x'mas-halloween. The next day at school, Maelstrom declares her married status to Ayumu's entire class while Ayumu learns the items Dai-sensei wants him to hold onto are x-ray glasses.
It's back to the funny side of Kore wa Zombie, well at least for this episode and the next, I guess? The drawing for the next episode features Yuu in a baseball sports clothes. I wonder why the quality of Studio Deen varies so much between Kore wa Zombie and Dragon Crisis?
